inter/change is a partnering practice co-directed by Lamont and Alyssa Favero that investigates the interchangeable roles between two bodies sharing space, repetition as creative systems and curiosities in the intersections of contact improvisation, hustle, and performance. This shared practice does not conform to a directorship of one individual but capitalizes on the momentum of creative duos in leadership positions.
Alyssa “Lyzah” Favero is a queer dance artist continually inspired by the ocean, being back in the Philippines and interpreting life cycles through creation. Creating, dancing and facilitating. Alyssa has hosted EMBRACE (a w*acking progressive), facilitated at All Bodies Dance Project danced with Khoudia Toure (Senegal) and Thierry Huard (Montreal). Grateful for the opportunities that have filled their emerging career including premiering Gigil at ahmm (2024), performing at Dancing on the Edge (2023), and facilitating workshops in Singapore and Manila (2024). The continuous loop of learning, creating, sharing, and living feeds Alyssa, transforming each singular experience into the infinite.
Lamont is an emerging contemporary mover, creator and producer from the stolen territory of the kanien’kehá kanation, in tiohtià:ke / mooniyaang. For Lamont, a dance is constantly happening although movement is not always visible. They are interested in queer non-linearity and community-oriented initiatives that approach art through a holistic lens and rethink the ways in which we connect to space, time and each other. Their personal movement research currently centers around partnering, short-lived ideas and balance points. They feel the most generative when moving slowly and in silence. Lamont journals everyday and write poetry that they share on the rarest occasion.
