Surrounded by bright mist on a floating structure at sea, there is a rupture and a resistance to permanency. Later, a relinquished speech. A simple whir-hum in its place. But first, there is the stumbling and the phonetics of falling. The doling out of chaos. The percussion of copper on copper all orchestrated by the slip-stream-man: formal, urgent, calamitous. Silk Oil does not walk but glides without time.

In the echoes of conflicting oral histories, a contemporary folktale, built upon a tripartite being of spirit, creature and human fragments is realized. Performers Allison and Emma Lang recall an unstable timeline and past-present embodiment, while shifting through imaginitives. In their stable presence, the audience remains human, maintaining the third fragmentary piece, while the two performers differentiate into spirit and creature states. Among audience, performer and other, Silk Oil searches unified moments while in disharmonious return to the singular, coalesced.
