Victor Tran is a Vietnamese-Canadian street dance artist residing as a settler on Coast Salish territories. Known in the underground scene as B.Boy Savage Rock and as one half of the Hustle duo, Savage & Samuelle. Savage is an up-and-coming choreographer whose unique practice blends improvisational techniques from both street and contemporary dance genres.
Hailing from Tiohtià:ke/Montreal, Samuelle Auclair embarked on her dance journey at 8 years old. In 2007, she ignited her passion for street dance, delving into Hip Hop, Waacking, Popping, House, and Dancehall. Even though having trained in specific styles, Samuelle feels the most happy dancing outside of the barriers, creating her own unique movements. Her 2015 encounter with Hustle enriched her dance experience. As half of Savage & Samuelle with partner Victor Tran, they’re global Hustle ambassadors and key proponents of the Hustle at RS community.
Deanna Peters/Mutable Subject is an artist working in and around dance for the past 21 years. Deanna creates and performs for the stage, club and online spaces. Mutable’s live works subvert distinctions between so-called “high” and “low” art. They present a fluidity of persona, within ourselves and with other bodies and things. Working both inside and outside current modes of presentation, Deanna’s a hyper-active DIY producer who hosts shows, parties and residencies. Since 2016, D’s produced the multidisciplinary performance festival interplay_, which moved online in 2021. Also a web designer, DP codes online exhibition spaces and interactive artworks. It’s all dance!
